5 Signs of Dehydration You Need To Be Alert




Dehydration is a condition where the body is deficient in fluid, can be caused by lack of fluid in the body or excessive fluid expenditure. Lack of fluid can be caused by lack of drinking because of illness, nausea, forget drinking or because of other factors.

While excessive body fluid can occur through excessive sweating, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, BAK (Release) that many, and so forth. Then, what are some signs of dehydration that need to be watched?

1. Appears thirst

Thirst is your first sign of fluid shortness. This is a signal that the body needs more fluids. Keep in mind, once you feel thirst is actually the body is short of fluid. Therefore, do not wait for the thirst to come to drink.

2. Urine changes

Some changes in urine or urine can also indicate you are dehydrated. Urine that tends to be dark or smelly, indicates you lack fluid. Generally, urine when you drink enough will be a clear yellow color.

When dehydrated, you will experience a decrease in urine formation. If your BAK is less than 4 times per day or not in the last 8 hours, drink plenty of it and consult a health worker.

3. Tiredness or dizziness

Tiredness and dizziness may arise from dehydration. Try to drink more if you experience the symptoms.

4. Dry in some parts of the body

Dryness of the mouth, lips or eyes can also be caused by dehydration. In children, one easy way to detect dehydration is the absence of tear production, such as when crying. Skin that looks dry and itchy can also indicate the condition of the body lack of fluids.

5. Awareness decreases

At an advanced stage, dehydration can cause a decrease in consciousness. If it has happened, the patient with dehydration should be taken to the hospital to get help as soon as possible. If still conscious, the patient can be given first aid by giving a drink.

Thus some signs of dehydration you need to be aware of. That way, you'll be more careful not to get dehydrated. Drink daily, at least 8 glasses per day. If there is an increase in fluid expenditure on the body, then the amount of fluid supply you drink needs to be added as well. Therefore, consume drinking water as per your body needs!
